We're going to take old, random, odd coats/whatever and glue/sew new fabric over them.

See, we could just...go to Goodwill or some shit, and buy a random robe for Songra and a random coatthing for 'Noa, and....yeah.
MUCH cheaper, less-frustrating than totally making new shitz out of pattersn so complicated we spend more $ on an actual tailor.
